Two things that piss me off more than they should:
1) The gross overuse of the word "ignorant" on the internet. I suspect, based on weeks and weeks of meticulous research that I didn't do, that the word "ignorant" is used correctly no more than ten percent of the time. The rest of the time it is used as a replacement for any word, phrase, or idea with any negative connotations whatsoever. Don't like broccoli? You're ignorant. Think that Sara Jessica Parker is an overrated horseface? You're ignorant. Prefer slow-moving zombies to the newfangled fast ones? Ignorant.
I'm sick of it. And no, the irony of ignorance leading to the misuse of the word "ignorant" did not escape me.
2) The word "mongerer." It's not a fucking word. "Monger" is the word. Yeah. As in, "You ignorant hate-monger." I just did a Google search for "mongerer" and almost 3,000 instances came up. That's 3000 too many.
It's like that time I read someone correctly use the word "ludicrous" in a sentence, only they spelled it "ludacris." With absolutely no indication that they were making any kind of reference to the rapper.
Makes me wanna get a great big knife and just stab, stab, stab until both arms are tired and all I want is a nap.
