I'm going to pose a wacky, zany, science-related question. If I get any responses, I'll be goddamn surprised, let me tell you.
Q: How does one go from being someone who does not understand quantum theory to someone who understands quantum theory?
There. Wrap your brains around that.
The layman's version of the above question might look something like this:
Q: Look, okay, so quantum theory either makes sense, or it doesn't make sense. One or the other. Now, if it makes sense, then by extention it's not some bizarre, mystical weirdness that utterly confounds everything anyone has ever known about anything, right, like it still must hold to some kind of consistent principles, okay, and if it doesn't make sense, then... why the fuck is anyone studying it?
These are the kinds of thoughts that make me late for work.
