Dancing Till The Dawn of Day

I recorded a drum track, two rhythm guitars, and bass on my Eyeliners song last night. I don't know how I was able to do it all in just about two hours, given the comparitively absurd amount of time I spent on my Kirsten song a month ago, but I did it. I even did the singy bits, two tracks panned a little to each side for that dreamy chorus effect, but that's where I encountered the problem that I had forseen: Hard to sing it. I did the guitars in the same exact key as the original, and then when I attempted to do the vocals, I absolutely couldn't avoid singing slightly flat.

I might just do all the guitar parts over again, only do 'em a whole step down or something, to better accommodate my meager singing range. Nobody'll notice that it's not in the right key or anything, right?

I wanted to end up with two .mp3 zombie covers for Halloween, the Eyeliners song that I've already worked on ('Do the Zombie'), as well as the Screeching Weasel song ('Zombie'), but it looks like it might just be the former. Sorry, Ben. I know you were really counting on hearing me butcher one of your songs, but no dice just yet. I'll cover 'Totally' for Valentine's Day or something. That'd be a neat Valentine's tune.
