The Rock Show

My band, Casino Evil, is playing at the Brighton Bar in Long Branch (that's in New Jersey, for all you people who are not in New Jersey) tonight. I think we go on at about ten. I also think that The Unidentified on the bill as well.

Come out and watch me act like I know what I'm doing when I stand there and hold my bass guitar, which has an Alkaline Trio skull-in-heart sticker on it. Nobody else in the band knows who the Alkaline Trio are, because everyone else in the band is at least seven or eight years older than I am (the oldest, I believe, is thirty-six, whereas I am twenty-two). Well, our drummer knows who the Alkaline Trio are because I work with him at the record store, and he's heard me play their CDs forty thousand times. Anyway, tonight I will be wearing a shiny red necktie, because any excuse to go out in public wearing a tie is a good enough excuse for me.

You know what else? I don't even think anybody who reads this site lives anywhere near any place that my band will ever play, aside from people who I know personally and see on a regular basis, so posts like this one might just be excercises in futility.

Maybe I'll post pictures from the show sometime over the weekend. That's something, at least. People like pictures.
