It's Halloween, And I Love Zombies!
If there's one thing I love more than free markets and individualism, it's zombies. I'm not talking about the classes of zombies produced by schools and universities every year, I'm talking about the walking undead. The blue-skinned, rotting, shambling corpses who feast upon human flesh and who can only be stopped by a bullet to the brain: that's what I'm talking about. I think they're great, and it's pretty much George A. Romero's fault. If you haven't seen Dawn of the Dead (the greatest horror film ever made), then you owe it to yourself to sit in a darkened room and immerse yourself in Romero's richly developed masterpiece of an emotional rollercoaster of a zombie flick. What would you do if the bodies of the dead returned to life and started attacking the living? Would you and your companions stockpile weapons and hide out in an abandoned shopping mall, creating a quasi-utopian society with a false sense of security? (Well, if people like Michael Moore had their way, there wouldn't be any weapons to stockpile, and unless you were really good at tirelessly swinging a baseball bat, zombies would end up eating your brains. God, I hate Michael Moore. I hate him I hate him hatehimhatehimhatehim grrrrrr...)
