Crap News from my home state of New Jersey

New Jersey Gov. James E. McGreevey recently signed a law that requires public schools in New Jersey to draw up policies that recognize and put a stop to bullying in school. (from the Home News Tribune)

Coming soon, the 'Mandatory Hugs For Everyone' act, followed by the 'If You Can't Say Anything Nice About Someone Don't Say Anything At All' bill. Great! Let's focus even less on education, and instead improve schools' nannying authority. This way, we'll have a nation full of soft, weak children who crumble at the slightest criticism, and they'll grow into soft, weak adults who won't know who to go running to whenever they are confronted by anything other than hugs and smiles and laughter. So, they'll end up running to the government (like they've been doing all their cushy lives), and the government will make all their nasty-wasty problems go away by creating more legislation. Hooray. When does it end?
